Cooperative Veterinary Care: A New Way of Working with Animals - Monique Feyrecilde, LVT, VTS (Behavior)

Cooperative Veterinary Care is the latest concept to help make veterinary patients more comfortable during examinations, testing, and treatments. This week host veterinarians Ernie Ward and Cyndie Courtney, and registered veterinary technician Beckie Mossor are joined by Monique Feyrecilde, LVT, VTS (Behavior). Monique is co-author of a new book debuting this week, Cooperative Veterinary Care with Alicea Howell.

Monique writes, "Learning to teach, train and handle animals requires meaningful 2-way communication between the handler and animal. When we can observe, appreciate and respect the lessons we learn from interactions, training effectiveness, success and enjoyment will increase for both the handler and the animal. By embracing science-based, humane techniques, every handler can teach animals and every handler can receive the gift of being taught by animals.  My mission is to make that gift of mutual learning available to any handler interested in receiving it."
