Not one day has my doggie failed to greet me wiggling and excited to see me when I arrive home from work.....or get up in the morning......
Not one night would she prefer to be alone rather snuggled up by me or hubby...
She's always there....a true companion.....
Yeah, Doggies have a wonderful capacity to love. I've learned a lot from her!

Dogs are more capable, are a better definition, and are more respectful of what it means to love. Humans muddle it up, dogs are genuine.

Did Rascal make it? :(

I totally agree with your points, particularly the one about your wife and yourself, right on the money. I don't care what anybody says, dogs are perfectly capable of love.

Finally an actual explanation why the winter months affect the pain, great stuff.

As for the treatment, Jasmine has stem cell treatment and responded awesomely. She is 8.5 years old now (quite an age for a Rottweiler) and she acts like a puppy. I also love supplements and Adequan is great too. Daily walks and weight management are a must. Laser therapy, physical therapy and massage are also helpful with managing arthtitis.

I've been thinking (and researching) about what to feed my dogs for a long time now. I ponder it every day. I'm feeding home-cooked diet now and I'm pleased with it; but still pondering whether or not raw would be a better way to go.

Jasmine had health issues worth of at least 10 dogs. Through this painful process there were a number of things I learned.
- not all vets were created equal
- when you find a good vet cherish them
- superficial solutions often won't work unless the root of the problem is addressed
- every diagnosis is a work in progress
- a disease is really a symptom of a bigger problem

As long as the vet is trying to get to the bottom of things they deserve a chance. If things get too complicated, a vet who appreciates a second opinion is the vet who will be more likely to figure things out.

I think that when it comes to bumps or strange sores, paranoia is the right policy. Even an infection from skin trauma can get quite nasty in a hurry if untreated. It is better to run to the vet and be told that you could have saved the trip (which doesn't seem to happen too often) than let something brew.
